We left the house about 4:15 PM with Sudbury as our destination (348 km). Grabbed some dinner at our favourite Indian place in Wasaga Beach the Curry Grill. 1st Charging stop (177km) was at the Petro Canada just south of Parry Sound. 200KW charger, YES! arrives with 34% SOC and charged to 90% in 24 min. Temperatures were about -5C with snow covered roads - snow mode was activated.
Interesting, battery started at about -2C on departure, after conditioning ran it was 29C at start of charging. After charging the battery was 43C. $11.93 to charge :). Made it to Sudbury at our hotel 9:30pm. Connected to free hotel charger and went to bed.
Some notes about the trip so far:
Heat is difficult to get out to feet and window at same time so feet are cold. Window has icy build up inside at top of window.
A Better Route Planner is always conservative with its estimated SOC at the beginning of the leg, we always end up at the destination with a higher SOC than originally estimated.
